IN THE NEWS - 50 year anniversary
Our firm was founded by the General Counsel of the United Steel Workers in 1974, with the commitment to serve the working people labor movement. We stand by the motto “an injury to one is an injury to all.” Over the last 50 years, we have stayed true to our goal – developing relationships with a variety of unions and individual workers in our never-ending quest for justice.
We are honored that the Governor appointed three of our past attorneys to serve as Arbitrators at the Illinois Workers Compensation Commission. This recognition serves as an example of the work we do and the firm we strive to be – zealous, honest and the best!
As we reflect on the past 50 years, we are proud of the workers and families we have helped, the cases we have won and the precedent we have set. Most recently, our firm took on a 5+ year battle for workers’ rights in the Illinois Supreme Court case of McAllister v. Illinois Workers’ Compensation Comm’n, 2020 IL 124848. (Read more about our victory below).
It has been our honor and privilege to serve the labor movement these past 50 years.
On September 24, 2020, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled in favor of our client in a 5-1/2 year fight for benefits.
Our Partner, Karolina M. Zielinska, successfully argued the case before the Illinois Supreme Court on January 15, 2020.
Through our efforts, we secured a favorable decision for our client and paved the way for every worker in the State of Illinois who will benefit from this ruling for decades to come.
